the Post-Gazette just reported the likely projections for where the Bucs’ many prospects are starting in 2010.

And Moskie, it looks like you will be starting in Indianapolis! Congrats on your promotion! You will be joining your Curve classmates Pedro Alvarez, Brad Lincoln, and Jose Tabata.

Word also has it that the Pirates want you to be a reliever with the hopes that you will arrive in Pittsburgh mid-season (God knows we need bullpen help up here!).

The New Pirates are on their way!

I don’t know whether the Pirates plan to designate a different prospect each year to manage this blog or if you will continue to post while you are in the system.

As a result of your blogging, I saw my first Curve game and some future Pirates for the first time in action!

It will seem like a long off-season, but when spring training comes around, I will be eager to see who makes the big league club, who goes to Indy, Altoona, etc. Spring training is fun though because everyone is together for that (and the hopes and dreams of a new season come to life).

I hear you will be on your way to the Florida Instructional League this fall with some of the other rising stars (Jose Tabata, Tim Alderson, Bryan Morris, Gorkys Hernandez and others). It’s exciting to watch this group rise up and hope for the future.

It could very well be that when those names are on major league jerseys, they will have only played for Pirates teams with winning records.
